19/8/53 II

Cottage. Late C17/early C18. Render probably over timber-frame and
rubble stone. Stone slate roof, catslide to rear, with massive projecting
stack to right. Main range with crossing on left. Simple storey and
attic; 2-window range in all of C20 2-light casements. Central door in
projecting lean-to porch with part-glazed door and casement. Small
2-light casement in facing gable. Lean-to to right and circular
bake-oven projection attached to rear of massiive stack. Interior:
chamfered spire beams and old plank doors.
