No. 33 (Cross and Passion Convent)

House. c,1860s.Common brick, with red and blue brick bands
and red, blue and yellow brick and stone dressings. Painted
plaster frieze and overhanging eaves. 2 storeys, 3 bays.
Ground floor canted bay windows with stone lintels and
cornices. 1st floor segmental-headed windows have banded
brick keyed heads. All windows are sashed. No glazing bars.
Central round-headed entrance has key and 2-panel door. 2
stacks, one with stone cup. Small C20 extension to right. A
little-altered example of the houses on the Victoria Park
estate.
