Almshouses, c.1805, for the Commissioners of Greenwich Hospital. Squared stone,
tooled dressings, slate roofs, stone and brick stacks. Central 2-storey Warden's
house flanked by single-storey almshouses with 2-storey teacher's house at each
end of row. Front elevation. Warden's house 3 bays, symmetrical. Central bay
slightly set forward with open pedimented gable, round-headed central door,
altered sashes, all openings with raised surrounds. Almshouses have doorways
and windows with raised stone surrounds, some flush-panelled doors, many windows
altered. Central round-arched passage through each range. To far right East
House has open pedimented gable and 1st floor band. Ground and 1st floor 12-pane
sashes in raised surrounds. To far left West House, open pedimented gable,
ground and 1st floor windows renewed in raised surrounds.

Rear elevation. Warden's house has round-headed stair window with radial glazing,
and various sash windows, left return wall has 6-panel door with oblong fanlight.
Almshouses to either side with C20 windows.
