Former manor house. Late C18 with mid C16 core. Timber-framed and plastered.
Plaintiled roofs with internal C18 chimneys of red brick. 3-window main
range; lower C16 range to right; another of C19/C20 to left. 2 storeys. Late
C18 casements, mainly of 3 lights with transomes above. C18 6-panelled
entrance door with pilasters, dummy fanlight and triangular pediment. The C16
section comprises 2 cells of a typical farmhouse, with unmoulded heavy framing
and clasped purlin roof. Probable fragmentary medieval moat.
